Offline, or Just Out of It
I haven’t posting anything in a while. Not because I haven’t wanted to, but because I haven’t had the energy… and by the time I did, there was so much real life catch-up to do.
In October, I was scheduled for a colonoscopy. You know, that diagnostic procedure that according to tv, smart phones can’t spell check. (It’s a good thing that I don’t use my cell phone to write, I guess.)
Well, it’s not a spoiler alert that no colon cancer was detected.
Every time we elect to do something, there are a host of choices to make. Some are relatively easy, others are a crap shoot. So for the colonoscopy, I had to decide things like which doctor, what location, and what prep process.
The prep process was probably the easiest from my point of view. I told the person managing my procedure that the stuff used last time didn’t work all that well. She nodded and indicated that there was a different chemical soup that might work better for me.
As far as the doctor choice was concerned, I was at the same office as before (as recommended by my primary care physician), but the person who’d done the procedure before had retired. I said I didn’t have a preference, and once again my scheduler nodded and made a choice for me.
